Business Owners Disapprove Of Obama's Job Performance: Poll
Source: huffingtonpost.com
<snip>
Only 35 percent of business owners said Obama is handling the presidency in the right way, Gallup reported, making them one of the occupational groups with the most negative opinion of the president. The group was the only one in Gallup's survey whose opinion of Obama dropped significantly since the last survey, falling from 41 percent approval in the first quarter of 2012.
But at the bottom of the page...
<snip>
Obama's overall approval ratings have increased a bit among workers since the first quarter of 2012. According to Gallup, 47 percent of all workers approve of his job performance, up from 45 percent in the first quarter.

(50,562 posts)About 75 percent of business owners would say all the government needs to do for business is eliminate their tax burden and get rid of all regulations. There are WAY too many examples of what happens when you do this, and they're all bad...but the idea survives. Anyway, because Obama hasn't done either of the things they want, he's a bad president in their eyes.

(20,450 posts)He has also not instituted any new regulations other than Dodd-Frank. In fact, he hasn't done much of anything to existing regulations. In fact, he has been very slow to regulate.
This is yet another example of Republicans owning the narrative. People are so used to hearing Republican tripe about Democrats taxing, spending and increasing regulations. They are brainwashed. Let's not fed that brainwashing. Let's understand the truth:

(50,562 posts)What they want is for the government to let them do whatever the hell they want. Because he has NOT eliminated the minimum wage, labor laws, safety regulations or anything else they don't like, he is a bad president. And Mitt W. Romney, because he probably will do those things, will be a good president.
Anyone who's ever read "The Jungle" or the newspaper since 2007 would question the assertion that business knows best, but the Repukes thrive on it.

(6,994 posts)approve of President Obama's job performance?
"In the Gallup poll, farming, fishing and forestry workers are the least impressed by Obama's job performance, with only 34 percent approving of it. Professional workers were the most impressed, with a slight majority, 52 percent, saying they approve" or " Obama's overall approval ratings have increased a bit among workers since the first quarter of 2012. According to Gallup, 47 percent of all workers approve of his job performance, up from 45 percent in the first quarter."
Yep the media will add a a twist to any political story to convey a negative opinion of Obama.(Just wonder how they will twist the Romney's London trip to turn it into a positive for him?)
Then
Just how many of those small businesses were owned by Republicans?

(31,879 posts)Of two businesses - and he disagrees with the headline. There are SOME things he disagrees with - and the key one is the lack of infrastructure/alternative energy focus. But we cross fingers and HOPE that the next four years we can get it done. They would both create jobs - so more people could work - so more people could buy stuff - and well . . . buy stuff from him. It's a story of stuff!
But he knows - we know damn well good that Obama is the best chance America has got to return to a path of prosperity.
Pssss - look into AHA - he was offering a really solid health insurance program for his employees PRIOR to it - as a small business owner - AHA has some serious rewards for those doing the right things all along. His last chamber of commerce meeting he did a run down . . . and he changed a few indieteapublican small business owner minds about it.
