EU to bypass Trump administration after Paris climate agreement pullout

Source: The Guardian

The European Union has rejected Donald Trumps offer to renegotiate the Paris climate agreement and pledged instead to bypass Washington to work with US business leaders and state governors to implement the historic accords commitments.

Less than 24 hours after the US president announced his decision to withdraw from the 2015 agreement and strike a new, less ambitious deal with the rest of the world, Brussels declared its outright refusal to engage in such talks.

EU officials will instead cut out the White House to deal directly with the US states and major corporations, many of whom have already pledged to live by the terms forged in Paris.

You see so-called pResident, you removed the US from the table. The rest of the world will now lead on this one.
Actually, the republiCons and trump are so horrible, we might see more progress now. Who knows, we will have to see this play out.

Time for a Regional Economic Alliance between California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and New Mexico. New York can create their own with like-minded states. The objective is to create most-favored trading partners with those within the alliances. They could create their own climate change commitments, and establish trading agreements with nations around the world who support their climate goals. States supporting republican policies can be left to die their own republican deaths. A bank or banks can be established for the benefit of the populations within these alliances

establishing trading agreements with other nations. Please refer to Article I, Section 10 of the US Constitution.

We're going to need to take back control of the Congress and Senate in order to reign in Der Drumpfinfuerer, and to enact more rational and humane laws.

The contrast with what we go through with these radical extremists, republiCons and trump, is on display loud and clear with this one.

I think the ramifications to the Trump Presidency will be huge.

He's now on the outside looking in with the Western alliances.

How much cooperation will he get in the Middle East if he wants to do something.

You need cooperation to change trade imbalances as well.

DT is simply a complete moron who doesn't know the first thing about getting things done when you're not a dictator.

People do business with people they like, and like for many reasons.

As Ron White says, You can't fix stupid!

I saw a thread that Bloomberg will donate $15 million to the UN to cover the next US payment of support.
Governor of California is meeting with China officials making deals about climate change actions.
States are forming an alliance of US States Climate Change Alliance (or some-such name).

I feel relief today seeing all this support flooding in for our planet.

Trump will have to be impeached soon enough. The Koch brothers are not powerful enough to overcome all the other forces (including Trump's propensity to fuck things up).

The Wyoming legislature proposed a bill that would put a surcharge on wind and solar power generation as a response to the market threat to coal. Oklahoma and other states are imposing punitive "grid utilization" surcharges to discourage renewables. Energy Secretary Rick Perry has launch a "study" to weigh the impact of solar and wind generation on power transmission systems in hopes of identifying more opportunities to kill those industries in the crib.

Can read a license plate those cameras are so awesome. Plumes of methane, oil spills and mine slewage runoff will be easy to spot.

I'm sure plenty of Americans will be happy to take air, water samples and have the European Labs & scientists check them for us.

If our government won't/can't protect "the people" from corporations pollution, we'd appreciate help from more advanced Countries.
