Police killed three attackers after terror rampage in London
(CNN)More than 130 imams from Britain are refusing to offer Islamic burials to the three men who launched attacks Saturday night in London, killing seven and wounding dozens more.
"We will not perform the traditional Islamic funeral prayer for the perpetrators and we also urge fellow imams and religious authorities to withdraw such a privilege," the Muslim leaders said Monday in a statement posted on social media.
The imams described their actions as "unprecedented," though mosques in Manchester, England, and in the United States have refused to bury Muslims involved in terror attacks in recent years. .............

This was started as a semi-flippant question, but when applying this to the 9-11 hijackers, whose bodies were incinerated, it does notreally matter that they don't have services performed. Their act was already performed, and they gave their lives for their god. The religious services are really an afterthought, since assention would occur immediately upon death, not under the blessings of an iman.
I took a religion course on this type of mental phenomenon, as is pertains to Christians, and the dynamics are nearly identical. What can a person or government offer someone, as a worldly reward, when they are offered an afterlife next to god? There are none.
That is why churches push the afterlife so much, because the time on earth is so short, and everyone wants to be in heaven sitting by the right side of God, having all the comforts available to them. It's better than nothing or eternity in hell.
This is why it is tough to suppress this idea, because it is just that, and cannot be killed. You cannot kill an idea.

Good for them! 👍
Most wouldn't care. Even those who are Catholic with the idea of consecrated ground don't much care about such niceties.
Most domestic mass-killers tend to have their own idiosyncratic views and few even see the need to say they're not whatever. They don't have an ISIS or a network of, say, Swedenborgians proudly claiming that the killers are martyrs for whatever their deity is (if they even have one).
This is a start. But there's still a sizeable peer group supporting these pieces of crap when they say they want to kill for Allah. (Somebody'll probably try to hide the post because I dare to actually refer to the killers' self-expressed motivation.)
