Former FBI Director James Comey on Thursday declined to tell the Senate Intelligence Committee in an open session whether or not he believes President Donald Trump colluded with Russian officials to influence the 2016 election.
Do you believe Donald Trump colluded with Russia? Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) asked.

(35,320 posts)there wasn't an investigation looking at Trump.
You'd think that if he did think Trump colluded, he'd have started an investigation.
Not sure how to take that particular quote. Perhaps in context it would make better sense.
I wonder if he's been told since then that the investigation's continued--meaning, as well, I wonder if he's kept his clearance and is entitled to know such things in the FBI.
