Kevin Cleeves, 35, of Waynesboro was charged Saturday with three counts of criminal homicide and was awaiting an extradition hearing in the Friday night deaths of 25-year-old Brandi Cleeves, 28-year-old Vincent Santucci and 55-year-old Rosemary Holma.
Pennsylvania state police said in an affidavit that Cleeves told relatives he had been trying to contact his wife to make arrangements to pick his daughter up and went to Santucci's house in Quincy Township to make sure the girl was safe.

I'm not suggesting that there wouldn't be nuts like this one in a better system, but there would be fewer.
When a marriage ends, there is already enough anger, bitternes, depression, and despair floating about to form a nasty coctail. So how do we deal with it? We make divorce, custody, and visitation into an adversarial process which often enflames the situation with rage that lasts for many years after.
All of these processes should be handled in a way that acknowledges that the couple ending their marriage has serious problems, but the issues be mediated in a way that validates what was good, how to leave the bad behind and move on, separately, from there for the good of both partners and their children... a reconciled non-reconciliation, if you will.
Most divorces/child custody/visistation issues do not end as this one has. But few end without bitterness that causes scars on all parties.
