Angus King: I'm 'really, really disturbed' by Sessions's testimony

Source: The Hill

BY JOHN BOWDEN - 06/14/17 09:45 AM EDT

Maine Sen. Angus King (I) told CNN early Wednesday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions's testimony revealed that Sessions has no interest in the scope of Russian interference during the 2016 election.

King told CNN's 'New Day' that Sessions didn't answer King's questions on Tuesday about why Trump decided to fire former FBI Director James Comey, and Sessions's other remarks on the Russia investigation revealed the attorney general's disinterest.

"The other question he didn't answer, I gotta say really, really, disturbed me, and that is, 'Have you looked in to what the Russians did?'" King said Wednesday. "Did you ask for any briefings? Do you understand the magnitude of what was done to us? And the answer was no."

King says Sessions's disinterest into the Russia investigation extends to the White House. "Jim Comey essentially said the same thing last week about the president," King continued. "He had nine interactions with the president, the president never asked 'how did the Russians do it,' 'how do you know they did it,' and ... this is the most serious attack on our country since September 11."

Sesspool said he hadn't been briefed on the Russia investigation,
however he said
he knows of no Trump campaign collusion with Russia

Seems that NONE of the trump lackeys care that the Russians are hacking us,what should we conclude from that?????

At one point Sessions confirmed that the Whitehouse hadn't invoked executive privilege, but then he declined to answer certain questions on the grounds that the Whitehouse might invoke the privilege later, and he didn't want to interfere with that privilege.

In other words, he invoked the privilege via non-invocation. If a Democrat had tried that, Republicans would already have found him in contempt of Congress.

show an inexplicable disinterest in the investigation of Russia's attempt to undermine our democracy. ANY thinking person would ask....why?

Sometimes the topic is interesting but I just find Joshua a boring host. I'm glad you like the show but I just can't get into it.

He, Drumpf, princeling, Flynn, Manafort, & Guiliani (sp?) were all part and parcel of the collusion and election interfering so have no questions at all because they know what they and their BFF's, the Russians, actually did.

Which fits!

Towering intellect attempts to question certified simpleton. Angus King is the one who should be A.G. But I wouldn't wish Beauregard on the state of Maine - ever.

Basically, suspects in court need to at least pretend to be curious about proceedings and facts. Good defense attorney tell them to do so.

Story is supposedly true, but it doesn't matter if it is or not; the point is powerful.

A suspect was on trial for murder for his wife but the body hadn't been found. The defense was making closing remarks and told the jury: "The wife will come through that door in ten seconds". After waiting 20 seconds the attorney said, "No she isn't coming. But you looked. That is reasonable doubt. You must acquit." The jury retired and after a surprisingly short time came back with a guilty verdict. The defense attorney asked the foreman, saying "I thought I had you for acquittal. What happened?" The foreman replied "You did have us, 11 for acquittal. But one juror didn't look at the door. She looked at the defendant. He wasn't looking at the door either. He was looking at his fingernails. He knew the wife wasn't coming through the door."

Republican AG Sessions is not curious about the Trump-Russia scandal because he knows what he did and he knows he has some guilt.
