So what? Who cares what he says: Nancy Pelosi shuts down Andrea Mitchell hyping Gingrich attack

Source: raw story

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday suggested that Fox News contributor Newt Gingrich was no longer relevant after he attacked the credibility of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

....................................

“So what? Who cares what he says?” Pelosi said on Thursday after MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell asked her for a reaction.

“The fact is, what we really need is an outside independent commission,” she added. “Right now, we have Mueller who is highly respected. When you respect somebody for their objectivity in law enforcement it doesn’t change. Obviously, Newt is being the political Newt that he always is.”

Watch the video below. ................

Not fake news but "gotcha news" in this instance Pelosi did an excellent job of not taking the bait.

Disgraced politician who refuses to GO AWAY. He looks a lot like Aunt Maudie Frickert, too. Jonathan Winters used to play the part, with a wig. Newtie always reminds me of that. Too bad he can not afford dentures.

Newt Gingrich resigned as Speaker of the House over ethics violations.
If someone persists in talking about him as if he were Jesus, say "he was made to pay back $300,000 in investigative costs because of a phony tax-exempt college course."

If anyone says "Republican Revolution" remind them that the vote to reprimand him was overwhelming and he was the first speaker in our history to be disciplined for ethics violations.

If someone says "he wrote some very good books" remind them that the Ethics Committee said he had lied to them to get them to drop the investigation and he showed reckless and intentional disregard of House rules.

If anyone says he is an 'honorable man', remind them that he divorced his first wife while she had cancer to marry his second wife, with whom he had been having an affair and that he visited her in the hospital with their children to discuss the terms of their divorce.

If someone says 'he disputes this version and it was his wife who filed for divorce', remind them he's already a proven liar and that court documents show otherwise.

If someone says he's a 'good businessman', remind them that it was his second wife who straightened out his financial situation and helped him get out of debt and that he later began a 7 year affair with his current wife while still married to the woman who put him on sound financial footing.

As I recall, he also made the lamest excuse ever for his infidelities by saying it was because he was so passionate about his country or his job, or some other BS.

He's one of the original Repuglican asswipes.

Frankly, the media's endless normalization of republicans has gotten me to turn my television off permanently. All you have to do is scratch the surface to reveal how their stupid talking points are just nonsense and devoid of any integrity.

There is nothing normal about lying and deceiving people.

Newt is and has been irrelevant for many years.

He sets the gold standard for hypocrisy. The only one that is close is Chris Christie.

I'm sure some of the right wing are prepared to paint the entire left wing as insane violent extremists, but this was one man that clearly had some mental and emotional problems.

This is no more a liberal/progressive problem than Timothy Mcveigh/Dylan Roof (?) and a host of others are the fault of mainstream Republicans.
