Romney: US has moral duty to block Iran nuclear plans

US Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has said his country has a "moral imperative" to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Mr Romney, speaking during a visit to Jerusalem, said Iran was the most destabilising country in the world.

He said the US recognised Israel's right to defend itself and that it was right for the US to stand with Israel.

He does NOT speak for us. He is a tourist!! He's not even the Nominee yet!

I'm sure his handlers and his money bags are teling him to go over there and act like he has the job already.

He has no business going there and making these statements. He is a private citizen. Period.

I don't think he's going to get the rousing reception he thinks he's going to get. Nobody is sicker of war than people in the Middle East. While they wouldn't mind having us do their dirty work for them, they know they couldn't avoid getting dragged into it forever.

We have been warned repeatedly during the past 10-15 years that Iran is "close" to making a nuclear bomb. If that was true they would certainly have one by now. If that wasnt true then why should we believe the warnings now.
