ISRAELI MINISTER SAYS SETTLEMENT BUILDING COORDINATED WITH TRUMP TEAM

BY JACK MOORE ON 6/16/17 AT 9:11 AM

Avigdor Lieberman is a far-right member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition and he himself lives in a West Bank settlement. He is one of the few foreign ministers of the world not to live inside his own country’s internationally-recognized boundaries. He and fellow government ministers have approved 8,000 housing units in the West Bank this year, the most since 1992.

In an English language interview with the Times of Israel, Lieberman said that there is a general understanding with Washington about accepted levels of construction. He did not specify what that level was.

When asked if Israel is no longer “holding back” on settlement construction because it is working closely with the Trump administration, Lieberman said: “Of course.”

“It’s obvious that the United States, our main strategic partner and with partners we keep transparency,” he said. “Everything is open, we keep open lines, we keep dialogue, we keep sincerity, we have understandings.” He said that Washington and the Israeli government do not “discuss about every 10 units, but the visions, the policies, the approach, we explained. It’s clear...they respect our approach and our vision regarding Jewish settlements, regarding Judea and Samaria,” he added, referring to the biblical names that nationalist Jews call the West Bank.

Going back to when I was a teenager I backed Israel. (And I'm old.)

Then AIPAC, Jonathan Pollard, the USS Liberty, the influencing US elections (far earlier and far more than the Russians ever did - so far), Reagan using Israel to supply arms to IRAN (a country Israel hates and wants the U.S. to take out), the support they get from American evangelicals, Israel's "economic warfare" against Palestinians, Netanyahu wrecking the peace process, the invasion of Lebanon and the Sabra massacre, Sheldon Adelson, the billions upon billions we give an Israel that refuses - REFUSES - to negotiate with the Palestinians and constantly pokes them in the eye with a pointed stick by expanding settlements funded in part by the American taxpayer.

Netanyahu will not only keep the settlements, he'll expand them. He spits in America's face and will defiantly ignore the international community's repeated demands that Israel cease its illegal, settled occupation of the West Bank.

No more. I've had it with them.

The ONE THING that unites the Arab world is their hatred of Israel. And since the U.S. UNQUESTIONINGLY backs Israel, that hatred falls on us, too.

In 1996 Israeli jets bombed a UN building where civilians had taken refuge in south Lebanon, killing 102 persons. Non-combatants. 102 non-combatants killed - with airplanes and bombs supplied for free by the United States. A young graduate student saw that and was consumed with the desire for revenge. The week before he had written out a martyrdom will, indicating his willingness to die. Five years later he piloted American Airlines Flight #11 into the World Trade Center. His name was Muhammad Atta.

Tell me again why we support Israel...?
