(21,639 posts)My favorite Helmut Kohl moment was the time when, during the G-7 Summit in Williamsburg in 1983, he looked at Reagan with a continental contempt said:
"Zo, Mr. President. Tell us all about ze AMAZING American recovery."
Reagan, who was far too dense to realize he was being patronized, later described it as "one of the proudest moments in my presidency."
