I never worked at a job that offered health insurance to it's employees. Not once in my adult life. I live in Texas. I 2008 I was 28 years old, a single mom and over $80,000 in medical debts, despite never having a pre-existing condition or any major illness.

Prior to 2008, to be self insured for a young mom and her child, with a $1,000 deductible, it would run you around $1,500 a month.

That's the system we are going back to.

If your child is sick, and you don't have insurance, the best bet you have is an ER visit. Then, you are looking at a $5,000 bill afterwards for something as simple as the flu.

From previous experiences, I can tell you:

An ER will turn you away if you owe them money.
Medical Bills do affect your credit and credit score.
An employer won't offer you insurance if they feel like they don't have to.

It's terrible what we used to do and what they want to do.

Great "logic" from these sickening "people." Rob the poor to reward the rich - as always - and if anyone complains say "Get a job" as you're hurling cash at millionaires.
