Former Obama aide: We followed the book on Russian meddling

Source: The Hill

By Rebecca Savransky - 06/26/17 08:43 AM

A former aide to President Obama said the former administration "followed the book" in its handling of the Russian election meddling.

During an interview on CNN's "New Day," Jen Psaki, former White House communications director, pushed back against the characterization that the Obama administration didn't do anything to respond to the Russian meddling.

"It's simply not born out by the facts ... Last summer when the president was made aware of these attacks by Russia, he asked the intelligence community — to double down and put every resource toward figuring out what happened," she said.

"And they put out an unprecedented statement in the early October of last year. That was before President Trump was elected. Now we were treating it as a cyberattack at the time."............................

You see it in the WaPo article that the media cherry-picked. All kinds of things were going on to get at the state levels.

Yet left and right go full blown ODS and allow the GOP to frame the narrative while they sit there and do nothing.

describe another co-worker as a person who did everything except take the action that would resolve the problem. In Obama's case, that final action would have been a presidential address from the Oval Office to the country. YMMV

I just wished the President had come out and acted completely out of character and show him as a pissed off guy that knew we were being attacked, rather than the smart thoughtful president he was....damit, I wanted some anger and vase throwing. But that's me.

Once he started worry about the political ramifications he abrogated his duty to protect our country and democracy
