Trump Tweets: 'Perhaps' Just Let Obamacare 'Crash & Burn!'

Source: Talking Points Memo

By ESME CRIBB Published JUNE 26, 2017 11:07 AM

President Donald Trump on Monday undercut Senate Republicans’ attempts to corral enough votes to pass their bill repealing Obamacare.

“Republican Senators are working very hard to get there, with no help from the Democrats. Not easy!” he tweeted.

Trump suggested they could just give up and just let the legislation “crash & burn” instead.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) pushed last week for a vote on the bill by the July 4 holiday, a prospect which may be imperiled by opposition from four conservative senators and a number of moderates who have pushed for a delay.

Trump's presidency crashed right out of the gate.

It's been burning before our eyes.

Hopefully, the end will come before long.

tRump doesn't give two hoots in hell about the American people. He cares about one thing: MONEY and how to grab more of it from everyone!

for millions. I think this is common among the wealthy and troublesome since, in terms of net worth, they are so disproportionately represented in government.

Last year when his Campaign sputtered, his pivot was attack the Black Guy,and it worked. This is his fall back position once again. The GOP new if they could blame Obama for Russia and the dumb ass Media bought it,they are home free.

This will bit Donnie in his fat ass big time. You can only hide Stupid Just so long and the real story will emerge. Donnie needs a win,and they are pulling out all the stops.

Notice who is getting face time
on the TV. Al Franken and Al will take Trump to the mat anytime anywhere. The New Face of the Democratic Party.

Advocating sabotage as a political means to an end. His blatant admission will not further his "cause" however, with health insurance for 23 million hanging in the balance. On camera, then-speaker Newt Gingrich once advocating letting Medicare "wither on the vine", and the consequences of that admission were not good for his party. Seemingly, Trump's role models these days are Newt and Nixon. The elements of history plus stupidity (manifest as Trump tweets) will continue to backfire, and GOP will be noticing it at the ballot box.

for empathy has consequences. He does not care if millions of Americans lose health coverage thousands of those people die or become impoverished as a result, just as long as he can tell himself that he somehow "won."

Sits in the oval office on his fat ass (who knows, probably on the toilet) and tweets temper-tantrum banter, like a 12-year-old. That's what he's being paid to do? He's not running our country, he's running his ego.

Repugs have stated they DID NOT WANT Democratic help, hell, they wouldn't even let their own women be on the panel. They wanted an old white man bill to put $$ in their pockets stolen from health care for the poor/working poor. Drumpf always, and I do mean always, blames his own personal failures on others, he's never responsible for anything - unless it's something that passes and then it's all because of him.

He has done everything humanly possible to ensure the failure of ACA and would revel in it's demise. He'd even revel in any deaths, would absolutely love love love to point out that failing Obamacare caused this person's death. He would never ever tell the truth, that his favored bill would kill tens of thousands more and that's by design.

At this point we have no option but to watch it explode, sadly taking so many with it.

Well, dear republican voters: you wanted it, you got it. But one day, as in the past, you will will once again beg the democrats to fix it... put out the fire, help our people, restore our economy. And we will. But does it always have to come with such cost???

I know his core supporters eat this up too. Most also depend on the government for health subsidies, so this could be an evolutionary thinning of the herd at work here.

happy to let a program millions of people depend on for their health "crash and burn",
happy to let millions of americans suffer and die

all so that he can get a "win".

oh, and a measly tax cut almost exclusively for people like benedict donald.

but, of course, our insanely biased right-wing media would never dream of calling it a "gaffe".
heck they'll hardly mention how completely tone-deaf it is.
