Fox & Friends guest: Anyone who defends Trump is morally bankrupt

Source: the hill

By Robin Eberhardt - 08/16/17 08:41 AM EDT

A Republican analyst wiped tears from his eyes as he said President Trump “betrayed" the country, speaking Wednesday morning on “Fox & Friends,” a show known to be among Trump's favorites.

Gianno Caldwell said he could not sleep because of Trump’s comments at a press conference Tuesday, when Trump reaffirmed that he believes that “both sides” were to blame for the violence in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend, again refusing to put all the blame on the white supremacists at the rally.

.................................

He responded to Trump’s comment that there are “good people” who were marching on “both sides” of the Charlottesville rally, including the neo-Nazis.

“Mr. President, good people don’t pal around with Nazis and white supremacists,” he said. “Maybe they don’t consider themselves white supremacists and Nazis, certainly they hold those views.”

in their effort to split the middle, not condemn the jackass, but knowing this situation is THAT bad they have to make absolute and concrete statements in objection, we have more high level republicans who have come out in 100% support of liberals who stood up to nazis this past weekend.

Nothing like that has happened over the last three decades, at least.

Used to be hating Nazis was fun for the whole family.

It's good that some GOP politicians will still say Nazis are bad. But I don't think it's heroic or noble. It's the lowest possible bar that all decent people clear every morning their feet hit the floor.

There hasn't been a moment I can say Republicans did the right thing because it was the right thing. They support and encourage the legacy of the KKK and the brown shirts with gerrymandering, voter suppression, drug crusades (minority imprisonment), deportation for being brown--that party is the reason white supremacists are empowered. The GOP keeps it alive. They are its champions. It should have been dead a hundred years ago but the GOP fight to keep white supremacy the law of our land with their blatant -whites only- legislation.

I don't congratulate Republicans for standing on the right side of racism. They don't.

Two POC on Fox tearing up.

I guess we've finally discovered where Fox's moral hard line is, and it's good to know.

speaking out against him. If white folks aren't on board, nobody will pay attention. But folks call it TRUMPRAVDA for a reason, I guess.
