Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) on Sunday said President Donald Trump needs the very best people around him in the White House in the wake of Steve Bannons departure as Trumps chief strategist.
Speaking on CNNs State of the Union, Schiff said there is a broadening recognition that there are some serious issues with our President that arent going to go away, that arent going to get better, and indeed with the pressures of the job may very well get worse.
And I think for that reason at a minimum we need the very best people around him in the White House, Schiff said. And that means not people like Bannon, not people like Miller, not people like Gorka, but rather some more adults in the room.
Bannon ended his tenure as chief White House strategist on Friday.
Schiff said he certainly thinks theres an issue with the Presidents capability.

I say wrap him (trump) in a straight jacket, and then go down the line, Pence, Ryan then the McConnell, the whole bunch and put them in straight jackets
These people have bastardized the constitution for greed, hate and fear

(5,801 posts)that's any better? Of course getting rid of the Nazis would be an improvement. Just wondering where the puke statesmen and policy experts would come from. Not just kochbot Heriturd Fuckdation puppets. Of course there must be some saner pukes out there, I just don't follow their machinations enough to readily name them.
Seriously, who have they got that isn't a crackpot teabagging ideologue? Seems like--having succeeded in driving out the "moderate" pukes, who do they have in that "party" (=loose concretion of knaves, fools, and religious extremists) that would be adequate?
And of course dump would pitch a tantrum at being forced to deal with grownups, not sycophants and like-minded racists.
What a situation. And to think, instead we could be going steadily along under the leadership of an experienced, competent public servant like HRC...

(9,426 posts)Just recently, McConnell stated "Well, just think it could be worse. We could have had Hillary in the WH" So, they do not want a SANE, competant president. They like what they have. Well, he is 100% theirs. tRump and his family seems to be about the best the gop could do. SAD.

We have a bigger problem than the current crop of politicians. (Though that's certainly bad enough!)
