Chris Christie drops out of contention for sports radio job

Source: The Hill

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) won't take over one of the most coveted spots in sports broadcasting when he leaves office next year, according to a statement from his office.

Christie said in a statement issued Sunday that he informed the management at WFAN in New York that they shouldn't consider him a candidate to replace departing sports radio host Mike Francesa, who is retiring in December.

"After considering the other options that I have been presented with for post-gubernatorial employment, I declined their request to do additional shows," Christie said Sunday.

"I made station executives aware that while I would be happy to continue to fill in for Boomer when asked and when available, that they should no longer consider me as a candidate interested in any job at WFAN when I leave the governorship," the governor said.

Scratch Chris Christie off the list of candidates to replace Mike (Sports Pope) Francesa when he leaves WFAN (if he actually does) in December.

FAN sources said the suits searching for Francesa’s replacement have informed the New Jersey Governor his Gasbag services will not be needed.

He is just such an unpleasant, ugly and dislikable person. Everything there is to not like about a politician rolled into a single package, really every different kind of 'ugly' a human can be, and yet he persists....

How does someone who makes the skin crawl like that end up with such political power? Even white male privilege doesn't fully explain it....

Ya well all I can say is ,if they don't want me than I don't want them . The whole thing turned out to be nothing more than the big bummer .
So thumbs down on them. Their loss is Trump's gain ,unless Trump dumps out on me too !
If that happens I'll buy a doughnut franchise !

punch him repeatedly in the guts. He could be a villain in Wonder Woman flick, and get the gut punch out again. That would bring fun back to the movies. But, I don't want to pay more than $1.50 for a ticket.

If he hadn't been dropped from the running, he would have grabbed that gig in a nanosecond. Now, let's hear about all those "other options".

...losing huge amounts of money on football, a sport that causes brain damage (and possibly Republicanism), while making crappy offers to top engineering students.

The loss for being "Big 10" amounts to close to 100 million dollars.

My son was admitted to Rutgers, where they told him they really, really wanted him, but offered him zero money. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Not to be a jock, but to be an engineer.

What kind of school values football over engineering?

My got a full scholarship, by contrast to a superior school, a scholarship amounting effectively, over 4 years for a quarter of a million dollars. It's not in New Jersey.

One of the points that our democratic candidate for Governor makes is that under Christie, we have created a brain drain in New Jersey. Our university system has its priorities way out of kilter, because our Governor has his priorities way out of kilter.

Christie is a thug, a racist supporter of the racist in chief, and as corrupt as they come.

I hope his endorsement of the racist in chief will make him the same kind of pariah the racist in chief is and that no one will hire his worthless ass for anything.

Look how long Rushbo lasted as a sports announcer.
