Trump Punishes Longtime Aide After Angry Phoenix Speech, Sources Say

Source: Bloomberg

Donald Trump was in a bad mood before he emerged for a confrontational speech in Arizona last week.

TV and social media coverage showed that the site of his campaign rally, the Phoenix Convention Center, was less than full. Backstage, waiting in a room with a television monitor, Trump was displeased, one person familiar with the incident said: TV optics and crowd sizes are extremely important to the president.

As his surrogates warmed up the audience, the expanse of shiny concrete eventually filled in with cheering Trump fans. But it was too late for a longtime Trump aide, George Gigicos, the former White House director of advance who had organized the event as a contractor to the Republican National Committee. Trump later had his top security aide, Keith Schiller, inform Gigicos that he’d never manage a Trump rally again, according to three people familiar with the matter.

If you'll notice, he doesn't have the courage to actually face the people he wants gone. He tells other people to fire them.

Not facing them is just another way of being above the rules (in this case the "rules" of civility and decency).

He's a petty, mean-spirited,horrible, little tyrant. He ruins people for the fun of it, but I really think he's scared of having someone actually stand up to him, so he avoids it.

Trump bragged that this event had the largest crowd ever in the venue.

And Trump promised during the campaign he would never lie to us.

is ALWAYS available, since he does not get many calls for acting jobs these days. Thanks to his wife, even those few will dry up now! Maybe tRump will give him a job? There seems to be many open jobs for ass lickers, which Baio is very good at. Maybe tRump will grab his wife by her - well - you know.

They were outnumbered by the protesters outside.

Man, Obama routinely fielded hundreds of thousands.

I'd go see him right now.

that he is not very popular, tRump unloads on someone else on his team? What a guy, he never does anything wrong, as long as there is someone close by to blame. I think he should throw a huge temper tantrum and just QUIT. Things are as good as they will get for this man/child. Most people have seen him for what he really is. An empty, ill-fitting suit.
