A man wanted by Charlottesville police in an Aug. 12 assault near the Market Street Parking Garage turned himself into the Monroe County Sheriffs Office Monday night, authorities confirmed Tuesday.
Alex Michael Ramos, 33, of Marrietta, Georgia, is charged with malicious wounding.
Ramos is awaiting an extradition hearing in Monroe County, according to Sgt. Lawson Bittick of the Monroe County Sheriffs Office. The hearing could happen today, Bittick said.
Along with local sheriffs deputies, FBI agents and U.S. Marshals were at the sheriffs office when Ramos turned himself in, the deputy said.

(FYI: Monroe County is in Georgia.)

(28,270 posts)If it wasn't for public pressure these nazi bastards would have gotten away with beating a man nearly to death at their white power riot in Cville.
The authorities seemed real indifferent to go after them.
