Trump Says Congress Has 6 Months To 'Legalize' DACA, Adds He Will 'Revisit' The Issue If That Fails

Source: CNBC

For his part, Trump implied in a Tuesday evening Twitter post that he hoped Congress would legalize DACA in the next six months. If lawmakers were unable to achieve that, the president said, he would "revisit" the issue.

Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do). If they can't, I will revisit this issue!

Public opposition to rescinding the program had mounted recently amid protests around the country. Top Republican lawmakers like House Speaker Paul Ryan and Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, as well as technology sector leaders, had pushed Trump not to scrap DACA.

Trump allies like Sessions urged him to end the program, arguing it will be difficult to defend in court.

They've courted them and encouraged them to act like Nazi, and they did exactly that. Republicans will run out the clock on DACA, it is a radioactive hot potato that no one is going to touch. Inevitably it fall back in Trump's lap, and since he's already got Session's to say that Obama illegally allowed the Dreamers to stay, he can't do the same thing that his own AG says is unconstitutional.

Trump will round them all up, their families, everyone, and ship them off to who knows where. The only possibility of preventing the Nazis from winning, is the SCOTUS, and the distant hope that the Dems might regain Congress some day.

Why do you think he "made the decision" after the debt ceiling fight was forfeited? Expect DACA continuation bills to always be tied to wall funding and possibly an ACA repeal in the future.
