Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort evacuated in face of Hurricane Irma

Source: The Age

Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate was evacuated along with the rest of the exclusive Town of Palm Beach as Hurricane Irma threatened South Florida with catastrophic winds.

Authorities on the barrier island that's home to Trump's Winter White House ordered a mandatory evacuation, urging residents to get out of the town by 5pm on Friday, according to an alert posted on its website.

The alert said residents should relocate to a hotel or shelter on the mainland.

Irma was headed for a direct hit on Florida on Sunday (Monday morning AEST), prompting some to estimate it could be the most expensive storm in US history.

In Miami-Dade County, the storm also spurred the start of that region's biggest-ever evacuation effort.

against everyone and everything to be brought by our pResident, for storm damages to his property.

Funny, we don't hear much about "frivolous lawsuits" any more. Remember them?

guarding the place for "looters" (who'd want those tacky chandeliers?) or rebuilding anything the storm tore down. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Trump used Federal employees, or money, to get his property up and running before anyone else. He's just that kind of guy.

Nah...those kinds of charges are only for the rest of us,not a tycoon like Trump.

"Katrina victims pleaded for FEMA trailers a decade ago, Trump was able to line his pockets with $2 million more than that by telling falsehoods about storm damage."

The importance of destroyed trailer parks and tract homes can wait.

The country needs the golf course.

Nothing else. The country needs the golf course.

The irony of having the most corrupt and venal person ever to occupy the White House - the laziest and most ignorant person ever to be there - is that he got there by representing his opponent, who was educated, intelligent, competent, ethical, and caring as "corrupt Hillary!"

What's worse is that the "liberal" media reported this load of horseshit as though it were real. They're selling lots of newspapers now, while the country is being destroyed by the twin effects of climate change and a corrupt and incompetent political party of mindless racist Ayn Rand worshiping useless solipsistic whiny thugs, both in the White House and in Congress.

I moved out to my daughter's house 15 miles west to secure it for her while she is overseas - Australia this week I believe. Must be nice, I wish I was in Australia now.

I'll ride it out here after figuring out what to do with four cars. Garage is full of her stuff, lol.

I'll report here on whatever Irma storm thread pops up 'til we lose electricity and interwebs.

All Floridians stay safe and good luck!
