Reports: Olbermann Clashing with Current TV

In a stroke of déjà vu, Current TV host Keith Olbermann relationship with the network is on the rocks, according to multiple published reports.

The tension boiled over this week in the wake of Current's coverage of the Iowa Caucuses, which Olbermann was not a part of.

"I was not given a legitimate opportunity to host under acceptable conditions," Olbermann said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday. "They know it and we know it. Telling half the story is wrong."

Olbermann did not specify to THR what "acceptable conditions" were, but his Countdown show has been plagued with technical difficulties on the channel like having the lights go off on-air in the studio.

Keith is a great talent, but he's high maintenance.

The sound on the Young Turks show is horrible.

and other liberals on tv regularly.

he's one of the main reasons i actually watch Current TV, and watch its other programming, including another new news show.

perhaps if he actually is "high maintenance" that simply means he likes to put on a high quality show each night and is upset unless he can do so --he certainly holds himself to high standards and his viewers benefit from that.

I know a guy that worked for him -- a very smart, liberal guy who recognized Keith's enormous talent -- and he reports that he's a jerk.

In an industry filled with high-maintenance people with big egos, Olbermann stands out.

Just another shiny object in the American obsession with celebrities.

shit together. He is losing all credibility and professional integrity. His job was to anchor at Current and help build the
network, instead he chooses to act like a diva with is stupid demands.

He will have only himself to blame when he implodes.
