At U.N., Trump says U.S. may have to 'totally destroy' North Korea

Source: Reuters

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump warned on Tuesday that the United States will be forced to “totally destroy” North Korea unless Pyongyang backs down from its nuclear challenge, mocking North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as a “rocket man” on a suicide mission.

Loud murmurs filled the green-marbled U.N. General Assembly hall when Trump issued his sternest warning yet to North Korea, whose ballistic missile launches and nuclear tests have rattled the globe.

Unless North Korea backs down, he said, “We will have no choice than to totally destroy North Korea.” “Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime,” he said.

He urged United Nations member states to work together to isolate the Kim government until it ceases its “hostile” behavior.

North Korea preemptively.

Probable targets include South Korea, Japan, Guam, Northern Marianas, American Samoa, Midway, Hawaii.

If they are retaliating to a US nuclear strike on the DPRK that happens during the winter, China may target South Korea and Japan with nuclear weapons. The jet stream would carry most of the fallout away from them.

All they need do is block off their harbors. Thanks to Ronald Fucking Reagan and his love of offshoring, the United States cannot function without Chinese-made products. Fuck dude, we can't even make military uniforms without China because all the dyestuffs plants are there. You ever try fighting a war in the summer in a white uniform? And we've faced this exact crisis before: the reason we have a chemical industry in this country is Germany, the home of dye manufacturing before World War I, cut off our supplies of dye just as we entered The War To End All Wars. And now we're in a worse condition...because we don't have the resources (like land, which is covered in high-dollar housing) to rebuild the dyeworks.

Add to that the Chinese Navy's submarine fleet, who could sink any container ship heading toward the US.

Well guys, now we know Phase 2 in the Russian Underpants Gnomes' business plan:

Phase 1: install an incompetent and dangerous psychopath as president of the United States
Phase 2: let him destroy the US economy
Phase 3: rush in and scoop up the debris at three cents on the dollar

Do me a favor: Read a little bit about the 1973 oil crisis. OPEC declared an embargo on oil shipments to the US in retaliation for us supporting Israel during the Yom Kippur War. It damn near destroyed the US economy. The Chinese could do exactly the same thing by embargoing shipments of merchandise from China to the US.

If they attack Japan, South Korea, or any of the U.S. territories in the Pacific, our probable response would be to go after Beijing.

That knowledge may force China to "use them or lose them" and launch everything at the continental U.S.
Whether that happens depends on China's ability to command its nuclear sub fleet after taking a hit.

Once the ICBMs start flying, Russia will not stand by and miss the opportunity to completely destroy the U.S.

President Trump took to the floor of the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday and, in his maiden speech there, called the leader of North Korea “Rocket Man,” decried “loser terrorists” and said certain parts of the world are “in fact, going to hell.”

But Trump's perhaps oddly chosen colloquialisms masked what was a pretty astounding escalation of his rhetoric when it comes to North Korea. Just to be clear: The president of the United States threatened to wipe a country of 25 million people off the map.

“Now North Korea's reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles threatens the entire world with unthinkable loss of human life,” Trump said. He later added: “The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea. Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself.”

Trump's rhetoric on North Korea has been very tough before. He turned heads last month by threatening to unleash “fire and fury” if North Korea and its leader, Kim Jong Un, threatened the United States. But Trump's speech Tuesday ratcheted things up in two respects: saying the United States would also unleash a massive response on behalf of its allies, and threatening to “totally destroy” the country.
