Kushner used private email to conduct White House business

Source: Politico

Presidential son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner has corresponded with other administration officials about White House matters through a private email account set up during the transition last December, part of a larger pattern of Trump administration aides using personal email accounts for government business.

Kushner uses his private account alongside his official White House email account, sometimes trading emails with senior White House officials, outside advisers and others about media coverage, event planning and other subjects, according to four people familiar with the correspondence. POLITICO has seen and verified about two dozen emails.

“Mr. Kushner uses his White House email address to conduct White House business,” said Abbe Lowell, a lawyer for Kushner in a statement Sunday. “Fewer than 100 emails from January through August were either sent to or returned by Mr. Kushner to colleagues in the White House from his personal email account. These usually forwarded news articles or political commentary and most often occurred when someone initiated the exchange by sending an email to his personal rather than his White House address.”

Aides who have exchanged emails with Kushner on his private account since Trump took office in January include former chief of staff Reince Priebus, former chief strategist Steve Bannon, Gary Cohn, and spokesman Josh Raffel according to emails described to or shown to POLITICO. In some cases those White House officials have emailed Kushner’s account first, said people familiar with the messages.

And, I assume, *read* to him.

I used to be a poster on Gawker before I came to DU - after the election.
Gawker had this info posted several times last year, with links and illustrations just like the one you show here.

The Gawker blogs are fun to read but hard to follow (sometimes). They were shut down for a while last year when they lost a huge lawsuit. But they're back now and I still go there from time to time.

I read that there has been a resurrection among Trumpers to pound the table again on Hillary Clinton being criminally charged, complete with "LOCK HER UP! LOCK HER UP!" being chanted at a rally.

Wait till the RW dotards get hold of this. They're going to fry him up for breakfast.

Then again, Fox Entertainment is probably working feverishly on why it's okay for him to have a double standard. Don't matter though, because now we can throw another thing back in their faces.

He can provide every single e-mail he has sent or received since his father-in-law declared his candidacy - personal, government and business - to a government office that will release them all to the public. If we find ANYTHING untoward or illegal in those e-mails, Jared Kushner and Donald Trump will both be sent to federal prison - Kushner as principal, Trump as accessory.

"...most often occurred when someone initiated the exchange by sending an email to his personal rather than his White House address." (From the OP)

I was officer of a local organization for four years. People would send emails concerning the group to my private email. In order to keep the information in the proper chain, I would forward every single one of those emails to the group email account, then reply from the correct email address rather then simply respond from my personal email account.

It was a little bit of a PITA but it only took seconds to do and kept the emails where they belong.

But then, I'm dealing with the fact that the person who took over my position has never figured out how to access the group email. I've offered several times to talk her through it, telling her specific days and times I am available, but she always tries to contact me during periods when I cannot do it - last time was when we were leaving town to drive to NC for two weeks. Since she's been out of town regularly once we got home, I am not making any attempt - it has been ten months I have been mostly available and I am tired of making the offer.

And those mails included LOTS of information that would provide evidence for Mueller to investigate and indict?

And we, the people, got to read it at the same time as Mueller, with no filters and no escape routes?

Yes, that would be poetic justice. Make it happen. Oh please. Make it happen.
