Oversight Dem investigating Kushner's use of private email account

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) announced Monday that he was investigating senior White House adviser Jared Kushner over his use of a private email account to communicate with Trump officials.

Cummings, the top Democrat on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, wrote in a letter to Kushner on Monday requesting that he maintain all “official record and copies of records in your custody,” according to a statement from his office.

He also requested that Kushner hand over all email addresses for any private accounts that he used while conducting White House business and a list of emails he sent or received on those private accounts that related to official government matters.

Cummings also demanded that Kushner provide him with information about the security of the private accounts that he and his wife Ivanka Trump had been using.
