Trump: 'I'll Fix The Mess' That Is North Korea

Source: Talking Points Memo

By NICOLE LAFOND Published SEPTEMBER 26, 2017 2:43 PM

Repeating his rhetoric that the U.S. is totally prepared to take military action against North Korea if it needs to, President Donald Trump told reporters Tuesday he plans to fix the mess that previous administrations left him regarding North Korea.

Responding to questions about reports that North Koreas top diplomat thinks that Trumps tweets about Kim Jong Un were a declaration of war, Trump said it will be devastating for North Korea if the U.S. decides to take military action against the country.

(Kim) is acting very badly. He is saying thing that should never, ever be said. And were replying to those things, but its a reply, its not an original statement, he said during a press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy at the White House.

On Saturday Trump tweeted that if North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they wont be around much longer!

Despite Flurry Of Tweets, Trump Says Hes Not At All Preoccupied With NFL

By ESME CRIBB Published SEPTEMBER 26, 2017 2:26 PM

President Donald Trump on Tuesday insisted that he was not preoccupied with NFL players and owners who protested by kneeling during the national anthem, though he has been on a tear against them since last week.

I wasnt preoccupied with the NFL. I was ashamed of what was taking place, because to me that was a very important moment, Trump told reporters during a joint press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy at the White House.

Trump said the NFL situation is very important to him.

Ive heard that before, about, was I preoccupied? Not at all. I have plenty of time on my hands. All I do is work, he said. And to be honest with you, thats an important function of working. Its called respect for our country.

It's not that a delicate diplomatic situation exists (and has existed for more than 50 years) between the U.S. and North Korea. It's that all those previous presidents were putting off solving the situation until he, Donald Trump, showed up with the personal strength to do the Final Solution to the problem. Wimps.
