Roger Stone, President Donald Trump's longetime associate, said "the battle against free speech has just begun" as the longtime political provocateur tangles with Twitter over his account's suspension.
"This is a strange way to do business and part and parcel of the systematic effort by the tech left to censor and silence conservative voices," Stone said in an email to POLITICO. " Stone added that after communicating with "prominent telecommunication attorneys," he has decided to bring legal action against Twitter. It's not clear what the basis for that action would be.
Stone lashed out at CNN anchor Don Lemon and others on Friday night, seemingly responding to reports that an indictment from special prosecutor Robert Mueller was imminent in the ongoing probe into the Trump election campaign's alleged ties to Russia.
Stone tweeted that Lemon was "dumber than dog ----" and deserved to be mocked and punished.

(6,377 posts)Twitter is pretty clear on what you can say and what's prohibited. He clearly violated it.

(11,843 posts)You have no freedom of speech on Twitter. You can say whatever you want, but they can ban you for it.
Why anyone would care about freaking Twitter, I don't get - the most stupid means of communication conceived of yet.
Dumb as a box of rocks.

(101,321 posts)It doesn't matter that any non-moron knows Stone hasn't a leg to stand on after the crude insults he threw out. He is there to get the morons - ie Trump's Very Base - to feel under attack, and get them thinking they are the victims, not American democracy.

Pretty much the same thing. Twitter has the right to deny ANYONE they do not approve of. Barring the entertainment value, I would love them do the same thing to Donnie Drumpf.
