2 dead, 1 injured after shooting at Thornton Walmart

One person was likely killed and another injured when “multiple people” were shot at on Wednesday inside a Walmart in Thornton, Colorado, local reports said. The police have not declared any casualties yet. They later warned people to stay away from the shopping centre.
Thornton is a suburb about 16 km northeast of Denver. Information about the victims and the assailants is not clear yet.
Reports of the shooting came shortly before 6.30 pm local time (6 am Thursday IST).
“We’ve got multiple parties down, we’re still trying to ascertain what their conditions are,” a police officer told Reuters. He said that customers and staff of the store “self-evacuated” themselves as they fled after the gunfire.
