Senate won't release tax bill tomorrow

Source: Axios

Caitlin Owens 1 hr ago

The Senate won't release its version of the GOP tax bill tomorrow, according to a senior GOP aide. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said yesterday that the bill would come out on Thursday. The aide said this wasn't a delay, because the release of the Senate bill was always going to start after the House Ways and Means Committee finished marking up its bill.

Why this matters: Both chambers are on very tight timelines and trying to strike very difficult policy balances. Delaying introduction of the bill not only gives off the impression that things aren't going well (whether it's true or not), but also removes one more day that could have been spent getting the caucus on board with the bill.

They are seeing the jig is up.

RePutins now have two choices:
(1) Stand firmly with evil and be destroyed in 2018, or
(2) Waffle, appear weak, and be destroyed in 2018.

According to Vox, the proposed cuts to Medicaid are even worse than the cuts included in the GOP's Obamacare repeal bills (from Daily Kos)

I thought the House Ways & Means Committee finished up it's bill this morning,
(but I could be wrong.)
If true, that means the Turtle won't release the Senate bill tomorrow because he simply doesn't yet have the necessary 50 votes for passage.

Need to come up with a plan to bring jobs back to rural areas.a bunch of these small towns has had industries move out.most of the time it's only one company that moves to Mexico or China.this tax cut will do diddly squat for rural areas or anyone else for that matter.they are just giving more money to the rich to invest in the stock market.
