Blasphemous: Prominent evangelist blasts really creepy use of the Bible to justify sexual abuse

Source: Raw Story

Prominent Christian missiologist Ed Stetzer wrote in Christianity Today to slam supporters of Republican senate nominee Roy Moore for the “sheer foolishness” of attempting to use the Bible to rationalize sexual assault.

“Simply put, it is important to make clear that Christians don’t believe the message that is coming from some of Moore’s supporters,” Stetzer fact checked. “Actually, most of us find it really creepy.”

Ed Stetzer, Ph.D., holds the Billy Graham Chair of Church, Mission, and Evangelism at Wheaton College, serves as executive director of the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism and is a contributing editor for Christianity today.

Stetzer counseled that, “in the midst of an avalanche of accusations against liberal Hollywood that we accept immediately as truth, let’s not brush aside an accusation against a religious right leader. We need to take allegations seriously on all sides of the political aisle.”

Testify, brother, testify

"missiologist" - that's a new word for me. What sayeth wiki? "Missiology is the area of practical theology that investigates the mandate, message, and mission of the Christian church, especially the nature of missionary work."

Please, spare me from self-righteous missionaries who have decided they have the truth and I am a wayward, substandard spiritual lamb. Please, spare me. Spare us all.

Sadly, I have such a low regard for most of these people that I question what his real agenda might be.

NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association) Press Release!

NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association) wants to recognize AMCLA (Alabama Man/Child Love Association) and its current President, Alabama Senate Candidate Judge Roy Moore, for its outstanding achievement in associating sex with children, with the Christian Bible. The Bible (The Word of GOD), can now be used as an authoritative religious excuse for Republican Alabama pedophiles like Republican Alabama Senate Candidate Judge Roy Moore, to sexualize and have sex with children. NAMBLA and its entire warped ass mother fucking psycho sex fiend membership, gives thanks to the notorious Republican Alabama Senate candidate, the noted and notorious Republican Alabama pedophile Judge Roy Moore, along with all of his psychosexual Republican Christian supporters, for all of their hard work in this effort of biblical proportions. None of this could have been achieved without extremist Christian Republicans and their complete lack of morality, their total lack of integrity, and especially without, their unyielding and never ending hypocrisy. AMCLA (Alabama Man/Child Love Association) should be proud of this extraordinary achievement. NAMBLA and its entire Bible loving membership, salutes you and your entire bible thumping membership, in psychosexual brotherhood. Well done fellow perverts!

.... I'm guessing Billy's disgraceful cretin son, Franklin Graham, is all in for Moore. Interestingly, I recently read that when Moore was in Vietnam (for which I give him great credit), he was so reviled by the men under him, that he slept on sand bags, because he was regularly threatened with fragging (own men putting a grenade under his bunk). Appears he hasn't changed much!

But until there is a swarm of these church leaders denouncing this publicly, right wing media will simply ignore the story, so those that need to hear it never will.

They would not feel the need to do so if they really believed he was innocent.

But Mary was supposedly a virgin, so Joseph didn't have sex with her at all. Too bad Moore couldn't live up to that level of restraint!

I don't know why this point isn't brought up more.

But another point. These deplorables are also saying, in effect, that God is a child molester. And so, if he can molest children, then its all ok for anyone else to. (Well, unless they are a Democrat)
