Debra Tate tells TMZ she received a call from the prison telling her Manson died 8:13 PM Sunday.

We're told the prison is contacting all of the victim's families.

I realize the death penalty is not very popular around these parts, but he was one example of someone whose life should have been extinguished long ago.

The families of the dead will be a little bit more at peace finally.

just before I woke up. I saw through the window of the White House, clearly, Donald Trump and a couple of his aides wearing gorilla suits with their gorilla-heads in their hands, like Disneyland characters taking a smoke break. It was one of those dreams that was so real that, upon waking, I wondered if I'd really seen it, haha. I usually forget dreams, too, but this one was memorable.

Have you ever kept a pen and pad near your bed and written notes on your dreams in the moments before they faded? You may be dreaming more than you think.

Course, that can carry its own risk.

You don't want to attract the attention of a sociopath - neither through positive nor negative reinforcement. Bad either way. Makes it a danger to avoid or engage. That's a scary thought, considering you never know until you do.

I've now creeped myself out.

And blessings to every surviving family member and friend of his victims, who may very well come to then end of their own lives without a complete sense of closure, but may hopefully now have a good measure of peace and healing.

You don't get over a monster by the monster's passing. You find peace in the fact that he's now where he belongs, and has belonged since his reign of terror. But fully getting over who he was and what he did is impossible.

No more 3 hots and a cot. No more endless media coverage. No more free medical care. No more "behind bars" interviews where he tells the reporter he can "get to them," even behind bars.

No more. He went out in the most appropriate way...rotting from the inside out.

Ironically I had never seen Sharon Tate in anything until I finally watched "Valley of the Dolls" on cable a few years ago. I preferred Patty Duke's performance but one wonders where Tate's career would have gone had she not been a victim of a madman (although.... Polanski... ).

Full text: Trump’s comments on white supremacists, ‘alt-left’ in Charlottesville

By POLITICO STAFF 08/15/2017 04:48 PM EDT Updated 08/15/2017 06:16 PM EDT

....
TRUMP: I am not putting anybody on a moral plane, what I’m saying is this: you had a group on one side and a group on the other, and they came at each other with clubs and it was vicious and horrible and it was a horrible thing to watch, but there is another side. There was a group on this side, you can call them the left. You’ve just called them the left, that came violently attacking the other group. So you can say what you want, but that's the way it is.

REPORTER: You said there was hatred and violence on both sides?

TRUMP: I do think there is blame – yes, I think there is blame on both sides. You look at, you look at both sides. I think there’s blame on both sides, and I have no doubt about it, and you don't have any doubt about it either. And, and, and, and if you reported it accurately, you would say.

With his bigotry (he naturally thought his white followers would take over after they started a race war) his sense of entitlement and love of religion, he is very much the embodiment of the regime in power. May that regime soon join him in oblivion and disgrace.
