More than 300 faith leaders say Moore is unfit to serve

Source: The Hill

BY MAX GREENWOOD - 11/21/17 12:26 PM EST

More than 300 faith leaders across the country have signed onto a letter declaring Alabama special election candidate Roy Moore unfit to serve in the Senate.

"As a person of faith, I wholeheartedly believe the courageous women who have shared their stories of being sexually preyed upon and assaulted by Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore as teenage girls," the letter reads.

"These profound moral failings and crimes render Judge Moore unfit to serve in the U.S. Senate. I stand with and pray for these women who have bravely come forward and spoken out."

Moore has faced mounting pressure to withdraw from Alabama's special Senate race amid allegations that he pursued sexual and romantic relations with teenage girls when he was in his 30s. One of the accusers was just 14-years-old when she had an alleged sexual encounter with Moore.

There are a few liberal Denominations remaining in Merican Christianity, and the list includes several Rabbis.

They need to speak out more, but Conservative Evangelicals/Trump/Moore Voters won't give a fuck what Liberal preachers have to say. They pick and choose what parts of the Bible are important.

I misread "faith leaders" as, "faith healers." Though truth be told, I don't see a hell of a lot of difference in the two terms.

Maybe they did a year ago, but people are finally waking up.

Hopefully these clerics (religious professionals) are figuring out there's more involved in politics than whether or not a candidate is "anti-abortion" or "anti-choice." If they haven't figured that out, they should quit with the political press releases.
