Roy Moore weighs legal action against female accusers

Source: NBC News

Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore is considering legal action against one or more of the women who have accused him of sexual misconduct, he said Tuesday night.

Moore, the Republican nominee to replace U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions in the Senate in a Dec. 12 special election, has strongly denied all accusations that he inappropriately approached or accosted woman, some of them who were underage at the time of the alleged incidents.

Asked about some of his accusers in an interview Tuesday night with controversial conservative radio talk show host Scott Beason on Alabama Cable Network, Moore repeated: "I don't know them. I've never spoken to them, and certainly I didn't do anything to them."

Moore has previously threatened to sue The Washington Post, which first reported the allegations against him, and Alabama Media Group, which publishes The Birmingham News, The Huntsville Times and the Press-Register of Mobile.

Taking another page from the Trump/Republican playbook. Grab and molest multiple girls and women. Deny all accusations. Accuse the women of being liars. Threaten to sue them and destroy their lives. Win power. Indeed, Fox News will feature a partner at a major law firm who will say that most women who claim sexual harassment are lying and looking for a pay off.

In the meantime, as a Democrat, a tasteless joke or bum pat followed by an acknowledgement and an apology results in 24/7 Fox News coverage along with demands that they resign. Indeed, at the same time as playing up allegations against Democrats based on a picture of a women taken by her own husband, Fox will also run a separate series of segments bemoaning the low threshold for harassment in an effort to stoke white male resentment while ignoring the much more serious allegations against Trump/Moore.

Its a win-win for the RW and we are well on our way to Handmaiden's tale society thanks to Trump and Fox News. By pushing this idea that allegations of sexual harassment can only be believed if the man acknowledges guilt, this once again pushes the idea that men are the ultimate arbiters of truth.

And why should he? Alabamians love him despite (or because of) the accusations.

He is doing exactly what drumpf did,,,he is trying to scare these women into court by stating he will sue them,,,drumpf probably gave him that advice...but Moore doesn't stand a chance in hell to win with that many women.. He is a creep!

That's about as likely to happen as is any legal action against his victims. I hope Moore is the final straw that breaks the trump regime's back.

The press need to ask huckabee sanders and Trump every chance they get if he is suing the women who accused him as he said he would.
Get them on record over and over.
