Trump Politicizes Washington Amtrak Crash in Tweet

AMTRAK DERAILMENT: TRUMP IMMEDIATELY POLITICIZES DEADLY WASHINGTON TRAIN CRASH TO PUSH HIS INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN

BY GRACE GUARNIERI ON 12/18/17 AT 2:31 PM

President Donald Trump posted a tweet Monday politicizing the Amtrak derailment in Washington state as a push for his infrastructure plan, continuing his habit of using deadly incidents to promote his political agenda.

About 11 minutes later, Trump acknowledged the lives lost in the crash, tweeting, "My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the train accident in DuPont, Washington. Thank you to all of our wonderful First Responders who are on the scene."

At least six people died in the derailment, officials said.

Trump in the past year has denounced liberals and gun control advocates for supposedly politicizing mass shootings, such as the Las Vegas massacre in October that killed 58 people, by calling for stronger gun control laws. The White House shut down any talk about gun control after the Las Vegas shooting, with press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders telling reporters, "There's a time and place for a political debate, but now is the time to unite as a country."

The real effective rate will drop 14%.

They will be able to buy new yachts every year!

You will get a tax cut and your kids will pay for it.

regulations requiring the use of safer brakes on trains? Of course they did. The Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Brake, for high-hazard flammable unit trains. I'm sure there's an application of this system that can be used in passenger trains as well, not to mention the Positive Control system.

He's too ignorant to realize we didn't have any spending on infrastructure while Obama was in office because it would have created jobs and improved things overall. The GOP wouldn't have any part of that while a Democrat, especially Obama, was in office. The democrats might get credit for it.

Isnt it Trump who is putting more resources BACK into Afghanistan? Obama was pulling out of the region and now Trump is going back in. And then he has the gall to talk about wasting money over there.
