Court orders Trump administration to give immigrant teens abortion access

Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. District Court judge ruled on Monday that President Donald Trump’s administration must allow access to abortion for two pregnant teenagers who are in the country illegally, escalating a high-profile legal fight.

Judge Tanya Chutkan put her order on hold, however, to give the U.S. Justice Department time to appeal her ruling.

The Justice Department filed its notice of appeal shortly afterward to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

The judge’s temporary restraining order marked the latest chapter in a legal dispute with the Trump administration over whether minors who are illegal immigrants have the right to seek an abortion during their detention.

Good news....or not so good news?

Pregnancy can't be put on hold....

So Trump and the DOJ and Fundie's want to make these late term abortions by delaying?

Or forced pregnancy and giving birth....

She's not up to anything. This is the same judge who ordered the feds to step aside in the earlier case, and allow a teenage girl being held in Texas to leave the facilities in order to get an abortion.

They've appealed the case of one of the two girls already, to SCOTUS. They apparently did not appeal the other case, where the girl is already 22 weeks pregnant, so I assume that means that she'll be able to go to a clinic shortly. (The first girl is only 10 weeks pregnant.)

since the only thing they hate more than women making choices for their own bodies is an immigrant giving birth to a baby who would be a citizen.

...who have unauthorized sex. The women (or girls) must be visibly punished.

Think about it that way for a few minutes and see how it changes your perspective of the antichoice movement.
