WH Blames 'Negative Coverage' For Trump's Rock-Bottom Approval Ratings

Source: Talking Points Memo

By ESME CRIBB Published DECEMBER 19, 2017 3:01 PM

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday blamed the media’s focus on “negative coverage” for President Donald Trump’s poor approval rating, which is at a historic low for the December of a President’s first term.

“While the President and this administration has been very focused on how we can better help the American people, I think oftentimes the media is focused on other things,” Sanders said at her daily briefing.

She claimed that “90 percent of the coverage” about Trump “is negative” and claimed the media is “certainly not talking about the growing economy, certainly not talking about the crushing of ISIS, not talking about the creation of jobs.”

“If people were focused a lot more on those things in the media, I think that his numbers would be a lot higher,” Sanders said. “We anticipate that they’re going to go up as more and more of these things continue to happen.”

Trump’s negative numbers are solely from his negative behavior. End of story. Sarah seems to be competing for the prize of who can tell the most whoppers on any given day. She and Trump may be tied!

He lost the popular vote and more people are waking up that he is a Russian asset and was put in by Putin. Only the dumbasses who watch fox voted for him and those who choose a president by a 30 second soundbite. Low information, ignorant and racist people voted for him.

It was A-OK when President Obama was in office, wasn't it? They covered every negative thing, and when that wasn't enough, they made stuff up.

Now that the shoe's on the other foot--oh boo, hoo, hoo!! Whining like babies.

Newsflash: the media's job is holding politicians' feet to the fire, not showering them with praise. Too bad for them this isn't North Korea, where nobody can bat an eyelash the wrong way without taking their life into their hands.

If the babies can't take it, they should just get out. Go back to being CEOs where they can really be dictators and squelch all negative comments.

“The problem isn’t that I’m a horrible President. The problem is that people are pointing out that I’m a horrible President. Therefore, if we would just ignore what a horrible President I am, I’ll become a great President!”

Prices continue to rise while wages remain flat.
There are a lot of jobs out there (at least in my part of the woods), but you would need two of them to make the rent, electric, car expenses and food.
Even if somehow a job paying $100,000 a year that I could physically do came along, I would still despise this administration for many other things (their attitude toward women and non-white folks, the way they assume everyone has a religion and it is the one they like, the horrific things they are doing to the environment, etc).

It is all about $$$$$ for republicans.
