AJC poll: Trump's approval ratings in Georgia erode

President Donald Trump’s approval ratings have crumbled in Georgia over his first year in the White House, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution poll released Friday that shows nearly six in 10 registered voters disapprove of his performance.

The poll, conducted by the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs, pegs the president’s approval rating at 36.7 percent and his disapproval rating at 58.7 percent. That’s a decline from an AJC poll conducted in January 2017 shortly before he took office with more evenly divided results results.

The survey of 940 voters was conducted before Trump reportedly criticized immigrants from “shithole” countries, but several conservative-leaning respondents interviewed by the AJC said those types of remarks highlighted their concerns about him.

“Whoever hears of someone talking this way?” asked Stuart Siegel, a 74-year-old Sandy Springs retiree.

They were ignorant and didn't pay attention during the election and wouldn't vote for a woman because of 30 years of rw lies. Now, they are waking up and are horrified. Our friend Jerry is one of those. He voted for drumpf out of sheer ignorance and is now horrified to find out who the president actually is. He says he wishes he could have a reset and he'd not vote at all. Not a great solution in my eyes, but thats one vote batshit crazy and stupidly ignorant and racist drumpf won't get and I'd bet there are many more just like him. He also wouldn;t vote for Moore or Arpaio, so crazy repugs are losing white non-crazy racist voters who always voted repug before now.

Unless Russia steals the election for them again, they are very vulnerable. With enough of a blue wave, we might even beat Putin/drumpf at their game and install a Dem House and Senate. That would be the end of the traitors!
