Biden marks MLK day: Americans are 'living through a battle for the soul of this nation'

Former Vice President Joe Biden said Americans are “living through a battle for the soul of this nation” in a tweet marking Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Biden’s message come as President Trump faces intense backlash for his comments calling Haiti, El Salvador and African nations “shithole countries.”

Some senators confirmed that Trump made the comments, while two GOP senators have said they don’t recall Trump making the remarks.

Biden criticized Trump over the comments last week, saying “it’s not what a president should believe.”

The absolute opposite of what's sitting in the Oval Office now. What we need to reverse this Trump disaster
and heal a deeply wounded nation.

For the good of the country.

He would win handily against Trump. His only negative is his age, but against another 70+ year old (Trump), age is not so much a factor. Give Biden a young VP (like Kennedy?) and pledge one term....problem solved.

It is not just that Biden would easily win. He is someone who could heal our nation. We need that dearly.
