A draft version of the Trump administration's infrastructure plan leaked on Monday.
A document first obtained by Axios and also obtained by The Hill reveals the details of a plan to revitalize Americas roads, bridges and transit systems by pushing for improvements to water infrastructure, transportation, land revitalization and Veterans Affairs facilities. The six-paged document suggests that half of appropriations go toward an Infrastructure Incentives Initiative to promote private and local investment in projects through grants.
A quarter of the appropriations, according to the document, would be for a Rural Infrastructure Program to bolster investment in rural areas.
The White House told Axios that it would not comment on the substance of a leaked document but said it looks forward to presenting our plan in the near future.

(12,213 posts)For-Profit corporations will be setting up toll booths on roads and bridges. New fees will be added to air and train transportation. Municipal water costs will skyrocket. All to pay for the new privatized infrastructure Donnys cronies will soon own.

(19,201 posts)of Trumptards are from. Naturally they'd get the cream from this "infrastructure" boondoggle, and the left-unders will go to those traitorous people in the Cities (who pay the vast majority of the taxes) who vote for Democrats. Once again the Trump administration is dividing the country into factions, and "loyalty" is the only criteria for who gets what.
I'd like to smash that 6 foot, 270 lb. orange "haired" piece of crap right in the mouth (where his dentures are slipping around).

(629 posts)For instance, many years ago I worked with a city engineer. There were three companies that passed city and county projects between them where two would submit huge bids and one would submit a not so hugely bid. No matter what real competitive bidding was unheard of and they all got stinking rich and the projects fell apart literally. There has to be a standard to work done and it has to be verified so that the tax payer is not the one getting screwed in the end.

(15,805 posts)With states collecting tolls to replace the tax revenues lost from Trump's tax giveaway, how much profit will all those investors expect back from people who need their water, roads and transportation services?

(11,841 posts)Personally I think they should have stayed in place and used for transit rail expansion, but I guess it was written into the bill to build the highway.
It was Ga 400, which runs north out of Atlanta. There are no tolls now. Dont know how much was raised during the toll period.

Oh and public transportation is "not" an option here in the CSRA unless you live inside the city itself and even there its a sick joke.
