Trump Trails Biden, Sanders and Oprah in 2020 Matchups

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN) — President Donald Trump faces an uphill climb to re-election in 2020 against a slate of prominent potential Democratic hopefuls, according to new polling from CNN conducted by SSRS.

In a series of hypothetical 2020 one-on-one contests Trump trails Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders by a 55% to 42% margin among registered voters. He lags further behind former Vice President Joe Biden by a wide 57% to 40% split, and trails television personality Oprah Winfrey by a 51% to 42% divide.

However, a Cheeseburger came in first in a poll by McDonalds.
And that's pretty bad.

Lets see which one can beat a marshmallow....which is currently in 1st place in the Kraft Marshmallow poll!

Oh look, the marshmallow is in 1st place!

So there's that satisfaction.

But singular focus on 2018 not divert to 2020.. end this Trump/McConnell/Ryan war on democracy and decency. in 2018.

I'd sure like to see the party get behind some younger folks like Corey Booker or Martin Heinrich or Kamala Harris. I'm sure there are some good Democratic governors that have bright futures.

The polls don't mean anything because Trumpy won't be the nominee in 2020. He will be impeached or resign in disgrace, and the GOP leadership will be indicted. Time for the GOP to begin rebuilding now by assuming that their party, as currently conceived, will be in tatters.

Clinton voters know what a binary choice is, too many Sanders voters don't.

Clinton voters would have voted for Sanders if he was the nominee, just as we did in 2008 for Obama.

That stood for "Party Unity My Ass". The Sanders voters who didn't vote for Clinton were called BOBs (Bernie or Bust). Both were small splinter groups with some studies indicating there may have were more PUMAs in 2008 than BOBs in 2016.

If you are talking about the overwhelming majority of them, rather than all of them, you can say this is true:
"Clinton voters would have voted for Sanders if he was the nominee, just as we did in 2008 for Obama."

But by that same measure "Sanders voters voted for Clinton as the nominee in 2016"

And I argued with anyone who even thought of withholding an Obama vote in 2016.

I condemned that movement and had removed from my city's Democratic City Committee anyone who espoused that notion or sent an email out that encouraged anything but complete support for the Democratic nominee.

What I noticed in my city, that no Sanders' supporters did the same thing to anti-Hillary people in our committee.

While there may have been some PUMA's, they were condemned by many Hillary supporters.

Oh, and by the way, Donald Trump is no John McCain.
