FBI Director Christopher Wray Sends Defiant Note to Staff

Source: The Daily Beast

In response to the release of a controversial Republican-authored memo accusing the FBI of politically motivated surveillance abuses, FBI Director Christopher Wray sent out an email to his colleagues thanking them for “standing strong together, and for keeping your faith in this institution that means so much to all of us.” Wray addressed the “talk on cable TV and social media,” and said that “Talk is cheap; the work you do is what will endure.” Amid rumors of Wray having to resign due to the memo’s release, he wrote, “I’m determined to defend your integrity and professionalism every day.”

I remember her from way back when at DU -- you, not so much. I have no idea why she feels as she does about Wray quitting rtf now, but I think I will ask her instead of being insulting.

At the moment he seems to be trying to save the Bureau from catastrophe.

Maybe?

needlessly. Their reputation and work have been questioned unnecessarily. They now have an increased desire to keep an eye in the fucking moron and GOP. You do not make an enemy of an agency who knows all of your secrets and illegal actions. Duh!

Indeed.

It is a relief to know the FBI agents think this way. Sure wish Congress felt this way, with the mission being to actually govern the country in a way best for the people.

..... and how much of an increasing threat this run away train of team tr-dump and his Fascist group of minions is to America really are. Day by day it becomes more and more readily apparent this can not be normalized but requires it be totally ostracized.

Rather than dissuade or shut down the FBI from these important investigations this layer upon layer of obstruction will causes the FBI to dig their heels in deeper and get to the bottom of this Russian treasonous ploy against our elections and very institutions of our government.

These intelligence gathering operative are not know to be pansies or wall flowers. But more like blood hounds - they will sniff and sniff and hunt these Nazi Fascist treasonous want to be Russian Oligarchic Mafioso Thugs down.

They must - or this Democracy will whither on the vine, then rot, and ultimately disappear into the pages of history.

These are dangerous, unsettling, perilous times Mr. tr-dump has ushered us to. He must be slammed down hard in total defeat.

And a real Hillary hater. I certainly get the impression that’s not uncommon in the agency. He watches Fox all the time. I really stay away from politics as much as I can with him. All that said I know he didn’t vote for Trump. I’m sure he didn’t vote for Hillary, probably some protest vote. Like I say I avoid the subject as much as possible but I think he was really worried Trump would get us in a war. Certainly still possible.
