Pence does not rule out meeting with North Korea during Asia trip

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska Vice President Pence refused to rule out the possibility of meeting with North Korea during his five-day trip to Asia this week.
Asked to respond to comments Secretary of State Rex Tillerson made earlier Monday in Peru, in which he seemed to allow for a potential meeting between Pence and representatives from North Korean leader Kim Jong Uns regime, Pence similarly did not reject a possible meeting.
With regard to any interaction with the North Korean delegation, I have not requested a meeting, Pence said, speaking in front of an F-22 during a refueling stop in Anchorage. But well see what happens.
Earlier in the day, Tillerson had said he wasnt sure if Pence would have the chance to meet with the North Koreans during his trip which includes a stop in Japan and one in South Korea but didnt dismiss the notion.
