Trump: Republicans were 'forced' to increase spending

Source: The Hill

BY JONATHAN EASLEY - 02/09/18 09:21 AM EST

President Trump on Friday expressed displeasure with the government funding bill just moments after he signed the bill into law ending a brief federal shutdown.

In a pair of tweets, Trump said Republicans were “forced” to increase spending because there are too many Democrats in Congress.

More than two-thirds of Republicans in the Senate voted for the spending package early Friday morning after Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) held up the vote.

Paul railed against it on the Senate floor into the early hours of Friday morning, saying Republicans did not run for election promising to bust through budget caps and raise the debt ceiling.

Hey, Trump! You really think the budget bill you just signed was too big and it's the Democrats fault?

Where did you learn simple arithmetic? Do you understand what "majority" means?

This budget-- like most of the shit in this administration-- is all on the Republicans.

Fool.

A majority of voters in just enough states who were motivated enough to get to the voting booth don't want to help the poor and the sick

This rhetoric will only cause the Retrumplicans to embrace this sat of shit even more.

Takes me back to Reagan, who cut taxers and raised the military budget. Publicans always put the nation more deeply in debt. Then, when a Democratic president comes along and tries to fix the economy and lower the debt, they are accused of trying to bankrupt the nation. I'm so tired of this cycle.

massive increase in spending for "defense" and his stupid wall.

sure, they would also cut back on medicare and social security, but they would have spent way, way more.

whatever they "save" by kicking grandma to the curb, they would give away in yet more tax breaks for the rich and then some.

which would you prefer?

Trump is stamping out everything FDR achieved for working people, this is a game the Republican Party first articulated in the 1930s as a response to the New Deal. They prefer fascism over democracy. We are almost there.

I mean a stronger more competent art if the deal master would have just vetoed it and gotten a way better deal.

But not Trump. He caved to the Democrats. Weak. Ineffective leader. He said he wanted a shutdown to show who's boss, then turns around and readily accepts defeat.

They think the only thing we should spend money on is a strong national defense. They don't actually support the Christian values that help other people. They don't care about roads and bridges until one falls out from under them.

His messaging works perfectly. This is why he was able to get into office. It doesn't matter if it is correct or the least bit sensible. It hits their lizard brains right where he needs it to.

13. This blurb from the Washington Post says it all:
Fri Feb 9, 2018, 11:41 AM
Feb 2018

The U.S. Treasury expects to borrow $955 billion this fiscal year, according to documents released Wednesday. It’s the highest amount of borrowing in six years, and a big jump from the $519 billion the federal government borrowed last year … this is the first time borrowing has jumped this much (as a share of GDP) in a non-recession time since Ronald Reagan was president …
This is bigger than the stimulus that Obama managed to push through in the face of the worst recession since the 1930s — but this time during peak employment, and in the eighth year of a recovery, on top of record peacetime debt. Just to add to this, the new spending bill under negotiation would add another cool half a trillion to the debt. To call this reckless would be an understatement, and the gravity of this fiscal vandalism is now beginning to filter through the markets.

Every Democrat should be highlighting how much more than Obama, Trump is borrowing. This will drive Trump insane.

You're a republican too. Or, are you confessing that you are not actually a republican, and simply hijacked the republican party for your own means?

By now I would think tRUMP would realize that it takes both parties working together to come to effective compromises in that everyone wins something. They don't win everything they wanted, but at least everyone gets a piece of pie.

So emergency aid to help recover from catastrophic events (including some to do repairs that would mitigate future disasters) that happened over 6 months ago that they refused to enact, is considered "waste", but funding for a fucking "military parade" is just fine.

they/ we are paying for two more submarines that will cost 36 billion, we will be spending over 235 million for each F35's, , we are still spending and still climbing over 5.6 trillion in Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc....and we are spending just in Syria over 500 million so far in Syria, and then you say these words of sexual predator words of insanity if someone where to look at it twice:

Without more Republicans in Congress, we were forced to increase spending on things we do not like or want in order to finally, after many years of depletion, take care of our Military. Sadly, we needed some Dem votes for passage. Must elect more Republicans in 2018 Election!"

"Without more republicans in Congress" "we were forced to increase spending" ------------no one forced you to do anything dickhead"

Go away..................go back into your hole of horse shit, we just spent over 35 million so that you can go fucking golf at your "place of business"--------------so FUCK YOU

Then come March 23, 2018 we get to go through the shit again, you really are a sociopath and so is your demented fascist supporting traitorous party
