Schumer, Pelosi rip Trump's decision to block Dem memo

Source: The Hill

BY MAX GREENWOOD - 02/09/18 09:03 PM EST

Democratic congressional leaders are blasting President Trump's decision to block the release of a Democratic memo aimed at rebutting a GOP document alleging surveillance abuses against the Trump campaign.

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) both accused Trump of applying a double standard by approving the release of the GOP memo but not the Democratic one. “The President’s double standard when it comes to transparency is appalling," Schumer said in a statement.

"The rationale for releasing the Nunes memo, transparency, vanishes when it could show information that’s harmful to him. Millions of Americans are asking one simple question: what is he hiding?”

Pelosi said Trump's move showed that his decision to release the document authored by staff for House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) last week was "blatantly political."

And even if they technically still cannot release it, some intern should happen to "find" this summary on a congressperson's desk, and send it to CNN and MSNBC.

You see, IOKIYAR.

If trump wanted transparency, he would not put his super dense fat ass in front of anything the republicans do.
He definitely does not want bipartisanship.......not when he keeps calling that this country needs more republicans in power.
They only control Congress and the White House, but he wants more?!? What a dumbass! A dictator wannabe.
Lock him up!

The details of the memo and its Democratic response are pretty dull and rather complicated. Few would be all that interested in the details of the new memo.

But Trump refusing to release this memo vividly demonstrates that this was always about politics.

Everybody can understand that, and it gives us the advantage every time the GOP accuses the FBI of wrongdoing.

Yep. TrumPutin is showing his nasty self by this action.

Now that he's wallowing in his mud hole, Pelosi and Schumer are standing and pointing to make certain everybody sees it.

Right out of Hollyweird -- wait until the whole audience recognizes the villain, then yell, "Villain!" in case some were asleep.

But show contempt for all law enforcement people , and the rule of law by doing this. Only very corrupted people would even attempt this, and it proves how desperate he's getting as the Russia investigation closes in on him, his family, and all those involved , or have enabled him by obstructing. His own actions are very telling what he's done, and who he is really representing. The truth scares him the most. Remember he's put out top classified information to our enemies in the oval office even. He thinks he's above it all, and can't be held responsible for anything, ever.

Point by point compared one on one, release the democrats' memo. Then, how can one object on a national security basis, when you have it in clear writing, republican point, vs. democratic point...

Hypocrites.
