EXCLUSIVE: Kushner Quietly Made More Fixes To His Financial Disclosures, May Have More To Come

Source: Talking Points Memo

By Cameron Joseph | February 16, 2018 11:49 am

Additional reporting by Tierney Sneed.

Jared Kushner quietly filed an addendum to his personal financial disclosure adding even more previously undisclosed business interests in recent weeks — and may have even more to disclose, according to real estate documents shared with TPM.

Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and a top adviser, wrote a letter to White House Deputy Council Stefan Passantino dated Jan. 3, 2018 adding a number of additional business interests that had not previously been on his personal financial disclosure form.

That letter, which has not been previously reported, corrects and adds new corporate positions and details of his companies’ structures that he legally was required to disclose, in a seeming attempt to square his filing with spouse Ivanka Trump’s as well as clean up some previously overlooked items.

“Following the certification of my spouse’s financial disclosure report by the Office of Government Ethics on December 26, 2017, I am writing to provide conforming information and other updates to the financial disclosure report that I signed on March 9, 2017,” Kushner wrote in the letter:

While little Jared is busy revising his accounts, who is doing all the jobs assigned to him? Peace in the M.E., Russia probe, opioid crisis? Apart from not having security clearance, why is he even "working" in this WH? Oh, right, nobody truly competent is allowed in. Maybe the supremely qualified Ivanka is doing all those jobs, while waiting to take over Kelly's position. What a screwed up MESS this entire administration is, disgraceful.

The White House has maintained that the delay in Kushner’s clearance is “completely normal,” and that extra scrutiny is involved for advisers like Kushner who require the highest level of security clearance. A White House official told Politico that the process could take 300 or so days — it has now been 385 days. The U.S. Government Accountability Office called the current security clearance system, “high risk” and warned it is in need of reform.

It is entirely abnormal, however, as Kushner has had to amend his SF-86 clearance form dozens of times after he omitted key meetings with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyack, the head of state-run Vnesheconombank Sergey Gorkov, and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, among nearly 100 others. He has amended his financial disclosure form 39 times.

There is nothing about this administration that is on the up and up.

No matter how pretty his disclosure is.

He doesn't have the clearance, and should be banned from the WH or anywhere near DC or ANYWHERE except a Florence, Colorado 8x8 space for him.

Why not wait for the investigators to find stuff, then file an addendum. Doesn't seem to be any law against it so there is no punishment, life goes merrily along. If, as many are saying, we are a nation of laws where are the laws that define this? He should have been denied a clearance long ago, but he is still at his job. Nation of laws..pftt.
