New White House Policy Could Impact Kushner

Source: PoliticalWire

February 16, 2018 at 10:44 pm EST By Taegan Goddard

“White House Chief of Staff John Kelly announced that beginning next week, the White House will no longer allow some employees with interim security clearances access to top-secret information — a move that could threaten the standing of Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law,” the Washington Post reports.

“Kushner, a senior adviser to the president, has been able to see some of the nation’s most sensitive secrets even as his background investigation has dragged on for more than a year.”

“White House officials have privately discussed concerns that Kushner’s clearance faces obstacles… Among the potential problems: repeated amendments that he had to make to a form detailing his contacts with foreign officials. Two U.S. officials said they do not expect Kushner to receive a permanent security clearance in the near future.”

was as useful as we think it was since he did answer all of the questions, I'm sure Jared is coming up fairly soon. Bannon hates Kushner.

Does a hostile nation's attack on our nation (on its soil none the less) and the likelihood of 45 campaign collusion demands not "next week," but EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY?

This guy is a 4 star general???

Kelly Orders Sweeping Changes To WH Security Clearance Procedure

By Jonathan Lemire | February 16, 2018 6:01 pm

NEW YORK (AP) — Under pressure over his handling of abuse allegations against a top aide, White House chief of staff John Kelly on Friday ordered sweeping changes in how the White House clears staff members to gain access to classified information, acknowledging that the administration “must do better” in how it handles security clearances.

Kelly issued a five-page memo that acknowledged White House mistakes but also put the onus on the FBI and the Justice Department to provide more timely updates on background investigations, asking that any significant derogatory information about staff members be quickly flagged to the White House counsel’s office.

The issue has been in the spotlight for more than a week after it was revealed that former staff secretary Rob Porter had an interim security clearance that allowed him access to classified material despite allegations of domestic violence by his two ex-wives.

“Now is the time to take a hard look at the way the White House processes clearance requests,” Kelly wrote in the memo. “We should — and in the future, must — do better.”

A target in a federal investigation should derail you immediately. Especially when the subject of that investigation is both obstruction of justice and conspiracy to defraud the united states...........

But in practice, being a target in an active investigation is grounds for immediate removal of clearance. Except when you fil is the potus.

I doubt Kushner would be included in this.

After all, he's in charge of so much, including peace in the Middle East!

The president wants them involved so they can help max out what is taken from the American taxpayers and foreign governments for them and him. They need the details to run their grifts and to try and hide their criminal actions.
