Mueller charges lawyer with lying about interaction with Rick Gates

Special counsel Robert Mueller has filed a charge against a lawyer for lying to investigators about his interaction with former Trump campaign aide Rick Gates in September 2016.

Alex Van der Zwaan is expected to plead guilty Tuesday afternoon.

He is also accused of lying about the failure to turn over an email communication to the special counsel's office. He was speaking with investigators about his work with Skadden Arps in 2012 when the firm did work for the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice to prepare a report on the trial of Yulia Tymoshenko.

Van der Zwaan has a plea hearing scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at US District Court in Washington, DC.

Bob Mueller charged this lawyer with making false statements. When he laid out the evidence, the lawyer broke and pled guilty, took the plea deal Mueller offered. Just before the lawyer signed the deal, Bob Mueller fixed his steely gaze on said lawyer and intoned, "I'm adding one more thing to the deal . . . you need to give me all the change you have in your pockets . . . crushing you has made me thirsty." And then Bob Mueller took the lawyer's change and got a soda. And his thirst was slaked . . . but his thirst for Justice continues.

Bob Mueller . . . prosecuting like a boss.

..... is going to plead guilty this afternoon. So this might have come from Gates flipping
and now Alex van der Zwaan might be flipping too.

From the little I could pick from google Alex van der Zwaan is linked to Russia, Oligarchs,
the Ukraine, and Paul Manafort.

The London-based son of a Russian businessman is set to plead guilty Tuesday afternoon in Washington to making false statements in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s probe of alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, according to a new court filing.

Alex Van Der Zwaan was charged with one count of making false statements, a felony, about his work as an attorney employed by a law firm engaged in 2012 by the Ukraine Ministry of Justice to prepare a report on the trial of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. Tymoshenko was imprisoned by former president Viktor Yanukovych for signing in 2009 a controversial gas supply deal with Russia.

U.S. prosecutors in Mueller’s office said the case was related to former Trump 2016 presidential campaign manager Paul Manafort, who was an adviser to Yanukovych.

Manafort and his longtime employee, Rick Gates, have pleaded not guilty to conspiracy, fraud and money laundering charges arising from the allegedly secret lobbying work for a Russian-friendly political party in Ukraine.

Trump and many in the GOP are using Fox as PRIMARY form of media manipulation and they are more powerful than Rupert M or his 2 sons. Think about all the shooters of last 2 years I bet EVERY ONE of them watched Fox news as they fit the classic description of a Trump supporter/Fox news viewer follower.

It isn't mannafort, there would be no need to hide his name. He has already been indicted and the screws turned.

In sep of 2016, mannafort was no longer on the campaign, but gates was. So likely someone in the campaign. Hmmmmmm.
