MICHELLE OBAMA'S 'UNUSUALLY INTIMATE' MEMOIR SET FOR RELEASE

Michelle Obama is set to release her unusually intimate memoir this November; the story of how a little girl from the South Side of Chicago found her voice and developed the strength to use it to empower others.

The former first ladys book Becoming is set to hit the shelves on November 13, almost two years after her husband Barack Obama left office. The memoir will touch on her childhood as well as her time in the White House.

Writing Becoming has been a deeply personal experience. It has allowed me, for the very first time, the space to honestly reflect on the unexpected trajectory of my life, said Obama in a statement.

The books release is expected to see Obama take part in a nationwide and international promotional tour, with 1 million of the books donated to education charity First Book on behalf of the Obamas.
