this is exactly what i've always felt but now known. The people who think America has suddenly become great again never wanted to think it was doing well and would look for any stat to back that up. when the economy was coming back under Obama, conservatives would talk about the deficit and labor participation rate. Now the debt is going back up and labor participation rate is still under 2000 levels but America is suddenly great again. Sure. Part of the reason consumer confidence is higher is bc I believe some people would view everything negatively bc a Dem was in office and they couldnt bring themselves to say it. I dont think there's as many of those people on the left so the number has risen. I will say the economy has done well under Trump, but for it to "be all him?" thats quite a leap to make.
