White House Says Trump Doesn't Believe Stormy Daniels Was Threatened In 2011

Source: Talking Points Memo

By Caitlin MacNeal | March 26, 2018 2:39 pm

White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah said on Monday that President Donald Trump does not believe porn actress Stormy Daniels’ claim in a “60 Minutes” interview that she was threatened in 2011 not to share the details of her alleged relationship with Trump.

“The president doesn’t believe any of the claims that Ms Daniels made last night in the interview are accurate,” Shah said in the daily press briefing when asked about the alleged threat made against Daniels.

Asked for the basis of Trump’s belief, Shah said that “there’s nothing to corroborate her claim.”

Though Shah shared Trump’s thoughts on the interview, he would not confirm that the President watched the interview that aired on CBS Sunday evening.

WH On Stormy Daniels Payment: ‘This Is Nothing Outside The Ordinary’

By Nicole Lafond | March 26, 2018 2:53 pm

Responding to questions about the $130,000 payment that President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer gave Stormy Daniels to reportedly keep her quiet about an affair, White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah on Monday said there was nothing unusual about the sum, claiming “false charges are settled outside of court all the time.”

“You can have (Trump’s attorney) Michael Cohen address any specifics regarding this agreement you are referring to, but false charges are settled outside of court all the time and this is nothing outside the ordinary,” Shah said.

When pressed specifically about what the $130,000 case had to do with false claims, Shah repeated the line again, pinning the payment on Cohen.

Shah’s response on Monday was the first acknowledgment the White House has given of the payment, which Cohen has admitted he made. Cohen claims he paid Daniels the money out of his own volition, not on behalf of Trump. Trump has denied the affair ever happened.

1. How would Trump know one way or the other unless he had knowledge of the threat?

BTW “false charges are settled outside of court all the time.”

If the Trump and his legal team still don't understand that Ms. Clifford and her lawyer*
have proof that they are holding back after last night's 60 minutes then they are clueless.

Trap set. Trap worked.

Are these people really that stupid? (Don't answer that)

By having his official press secretary say she lied and has no proof, it all but assure that she will now have to make that proof public.

The nda can't prevent that.

4. A reporter asked White House spokesperson today, "Should we believe anything you tell us?"

The answer?

"At the moment, it will always be the best information we have at that time."

However, considering the credibility of the primary source for the White House spokespersons, there should be no question that nothing they say will ever remotely reflect any kind of truth.

And 'we the people' pay all of them.

8. Someone needs to ask: WHY has the president not personall denied the affair?

Because I believe in my bones that is what Daniels' lawyer is waiting for: A denial from TRUMP himself, not a spokesperson.

Then, we'll probably get to see some actual evidence. They're not showing their hand, which is annoying to we "instant gratification" types, but ultimately that's how I'd handle it.
