Report: Greitens was aggressor in unwanted sexual encounter

Source: AP News

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens initiated a physically aggressive unwanted sexual encounter with his hairdresser and threatened to distribute a partially nude photo of her if she spoke about it, according to testimony from the woman released Wednesday by a House investigatory committee.

The graphic report details multiple instances in which the woman said Greitens spanked, slapped, grabbed, shoved and called her derogatory names during a series of sexual encounters as he was preparing to run for office in 2015. The testimony contradicts Greitens’ previous assertions that “there was no violence” and “no threat of violence” in what he has described as a consensual extramarital affair.

so maybe best to focus on other aspects, like criminal behavior, moral problems, and terrible judgement. Interesting guy -- dynamic, governor, former SEAL. Lol. Family values does seem to have been his image during the campaign. Apparently he ran campaign ads that promised to parachute a commando into the governor's mansion.

He ultimately chose to run for governor as a very right-wing, "family values" Republican, as you say.

Reichtens is lucky: his party backs its prominent figures no matter what.

A couple of unsubstantiated allegations from a known right-wing bimbo, and Democrats turn on their rising stars on the other hand.

Probably statutory rape - and God knows the GOP doesn't need any more of that.

The advice he seems to be following is "If you want to sound credible, quote a liar claiming to be innocent" or some such.

We are in full meltdown in MO and probably will be unless and until we give the Southwest of the state to Oklahoma.

Lots of Republicans think they can do anything they want with no repercussions. Unfortunately, it is true more often than not.

WASHINGTON
Missouri’s Republican Attorney General Josh Hawley, a leading candidate for U.S. Senate, is calling on his state’s GOP governor to “resign immediately.”

While many Missouri Republicans are calling for Greitens to resign, few have gone as far as Hawley and flatly called the details of the report "impeachable."

As the state's attorney general and the Republican Party's leading candidate for the U. S. Senate campaign this fall, Hawley's call for resignation is a devastating blow to Greitens' chance to survive the scandal.

Probably not.

They're afraid their Trump constituency will get mad and they'll lose their base and just be left with raving Nazis.
